The East Elgin Eagle wins both open girls 50 and 100-meter freestyle events
Patterson picks up three gold, Hines takes two para events

LONDON, Ont. - Louisa Begeman swam to a pair of gold medals at the Thames Valley Regional Athletics (TVRA) swim meet.
Begeman won both the open girls 50 (28.01 seconds) and 100-metre freestyle events (1:03.47) and finished second in the 100 fly (1:09.18).
The East Elgin Eagles Grade 10 student led an Eagles team of 12 swimmers.
Matt Charlton in open boys, finished third, in both the 200 free (2:09.41) and 100 free (57.79 sec.) and placed fourth, in the 100 fly (1:04.87).
The Eagles' 15 and over boys 200 medley relay team of Eric Buro, Chael Otter, William VanHooren and David VanHooren, placed second (2:06.77).
Buro in open boys, placed 10th, 100 back (1:14.49), 14th, 100 breast (1:26.54), 16th, 50 free (29.40 sec.).
Otter in open boys - ninth, 100 breast (1:21.69), 15th, 100 free (1:05.70), 18th, 100 I.M. (1:15.62).
William VanHooren in open boys - ninth, 100 fly (1:15.81), 12th, 100 free (1:03.47), 14th, 50 free (28.82 sec.).
David VanHooren in 15 and over boys - eighth, 50 back (37.83 sec.), 25th, 50 free (30.54 sec.), 25th, 100 free (1:12.17).
Owen Charlton in open boys - seventh, 200 free (2:22.41), 14th, 100 free (1:05.46), 15th, 50 free (29.21 sec.).

Titans
Joseph Robinson led the Central Elgin Titans placing third in the para mixed
50-metre back and sixth in the 50 free.
Bailey Schmidt qualified for WOSSAA, placing 32nd in the 15 and over girls 100 free (1:27.91).
The Titans' 15 and over boys 200m medley relay team of Philip Ludwig, Paxton Bossence, Aaron de Swart, Kael Theil, ninth (2:34.02).
The Titans' 15 and over mixed 200m medley relay team of Philip Ludwig, Bailey Schmidt, Kael Theil, Annaliese Shourkri, 10th (2:36.22).
Beavers
Dorchester Beavers Katie Dimitroff and Claira Fletcher move on to WOSSAA in
three open girls events.
Dimitroff placed fifth, in the 100 fly (1:19.85), 10th, 50 free (31.23 sec.) and 17th, 100 I.M. (1:20.66).
Fletcher was 10th, in the 100 back (1:28.75), 19th, 50 free (34.55 sec.) and 25th, 100 I.M. (1:29.17).
Stampeders
Cameron Morrison, who attended OFSAA last year, had three top five results
leading the Parkside Stampeders.
Morrison in 15 and over boys, finished third, 100 I.M. (1:16.08), fourth, 100 free (1:06.22) and fifth, 50 free (28.29 sec.).
The Stampeders 14 and under girls 200 free relay team, of Brynley Martin, Megan Landon, Isabel Rodgers, Kloe Sleightholm was second (2:22.01), behind Medway High with former Dorchester Beavers Ava Ridley.
Kloe Sleightholm in 14 and under girls - third, 100 free (1:13.12), sixth, 50 free (33.27 sec.).
Carter Morrison in 14 and under boys - third, 50 back (36.35 sec.), 13th, 50 breast (45.44 sec.), 19th, 50 free (33.51 sec.).

St. Joseph's Rams Martino Vu posted three top five results in 14 and under boys,
placing second, 50 breaststroke (38.52 sec.), fourth, 50 free (30.37 sec.),
fifth, 100 free (1:13.37).
Brogans Hines won both the para men's 100 free (1:44.82) and 50 free (41.07 sec.) and finished fourth, in the para mens' 50 breast (59.26 sec.).
Owen Lupson in 14 and under boys - third, 50 free (30.31 sec.), eighth, 50 back (39.22 sec.).
Shalem Hernandez in 15 and over boys - third, 50 back (35.02 sec.), 11th, 100 free (1:09.11), 11th, 50 free (29.06 sec.).
Charlie Giesbrecht in 15 and over girls - seventh, 50 fly (38.83 sec.), 20th, 100 I.M. (1:32.90), 29th, 50 free (36.12 sec.).

Rams' 15 and over girls 200 free relay team of Sophia Krejci, Ruth Makoko, Mary Mesia Castro, Danielle Blackhall, 18th, (2:59.25).
Isabelle Patterson, at St. Thomas native who attends Banting secondary school,
won the open girls 100-metre back, finished second in the 200 free (2:23.17) and
was on two Banting Broncos golden open girls relay teams, the 200 medley and 200
free relay.
